Algeria's new Prime Minister Mokdad Sifi, faced with growing political violence, yesterday announced a new government from which the hardline anti-Islamist interior minister was excluded, Reuter reports from Tunis. Mr Sifi took power on Monday after President Liamine Zeroual dismissed his predecessor, Redha Malek.
