Building a motorway in western France through one of Europe's biggest marshes would be an 'ecological catastrophe', said a former minister, Reuter reports from Paris. Segolene Royal, a former environment minister, vowed to fight against the possible construction of a motorway through Marais Poitevin marshland between Nantes and Niort.
