MANAGUA (Reuter) - Nicaragua's armed forces chief, Humberto Ortega, a member of the opposition Sandinistas, said he was to retire.
General Ortega, brother of the Sandinista former president, Daniel Ortega, said the exact date of his departure depended on the approval of an army bill due to be voted in a few days.
