Senator Bob Packwood was set yesterday to go to court to protect the privacy of his personal diaries in an inquiry into sexual harassment, after his colleagues voted against him, AFP and Reuters report from Washington.
The 94-to-6 vote to allow the Senate Ethics Committee to take the Oregon Republican to court to force him to hand over the diaries came after two days of debate.
