Papal qualms
The Pope has told heads of state that a planned UN population conference could result in a setback for humanity if it promoted unrestricted abortion and what he sees as morally bankrupt lifestyles, Reuter reports from Rome. The Pope wrote to all heads of state and international groups to express his concern over a draft of the final document of the conference, to be held in Cairo in September.
