Caracas (AFP) - Venezuela's attorney-general called yesterday for President Carlos Andres Perez to be put on trial for allegedly profiting from an exchange- rate scheme involving insider information.
'In investigations conducted by the nation's comptroller and in the Central Bank's report, there is enough evidence to accuse President Perez,' said the attorney-general, Ramon Escovar Salom.
