A prominent member of the Palestine Liberation Organisation's executive committee, Mahmud Darwish, has resigned, highlighting a political and financial crisis within its leadership, Reuter reports from Tunis. Mr Darwish, a noted poet, confirmed he had quit but declined to give more details.
