Indian police fired on a funeral procession for a heart surgeon and rebel leader in Kashmir yesterday, killing a relative of the dead man, Reuter reports from Srinagar. Ashiq Hussain, the brother-in-law of Dr Abdul Ahad Guru, was killed when police opened fire on mourners who argued with forces guarding the route to the graveyard, witnesses said.
