The Pope is to publish a brief volume of memoirs covering parts of the 50 years since his ordination. They are expected to take the form of a short booklet and will be issued by the Vatican publishing house. The date of publication has not been decided.

The Pope, 76, marks the 50th anniversary of his ordination tomorrow. His 1995 book, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, was an international bestseller. Reuter - Rome
