Boycotts and demonstrations marked the repeat of last week's European elections in a number of Portuguese districts yesterday, Reuter reports from Lisbon.
Voters in nine local council areas that boycotted the elections on 12 June again refused to vote. This time they locked the gates of polling stations and staged protests to publicise local issues.
