Hundreds of Yemenis took to the streets in the capital, Sanaa, and the city of Taizz to protest at high prices and a sharp drop in the value of the local currency, Reuter reports from Sanaa. Troops were deployed but no casualties were reported and shops and markets remained shut in Sanaa.
