Katherine Power, a 1960s anti-war radical who eluded police and federal agents for 23 years before surrendering last month, was sentenced yesterday to eight to 12 years in jail for her role in the killing of a Boston police officer in 1970, Reuter reports from Boston.

Ms Power, 44, pleaded guilty to reduced charges of manslaughter and armed robbery in connection with the death of Walter Schroeder, who was shot dead during a bank robbery.
