Iran's President, Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, began his second four-year term yesterday after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei formally endorsed the result of elections held in June, Reuter reports from Tehran. President Rafsanjani received 63 per cent of the votes cast.
