At least three people were killed and 17 injured as Russian troops fired artillery at Afghan villages in north Takhar province, state-run Radio Kabul said. The broadcast monitored here said Russian troops deployed on the Afghan-Tajikistan border attacked two villages, AFP reports from Islamabad.
