Rebels poised to attack towns in Zaire

Zairian rebels have surrounded the three major towns in north- eastern Zaire remaining in government hands and will soon attack them, a rebel leader said.

Jean Kabongo, a senior member of the Alliance of Democratic Forces for Liberation (Congo-Zaire), said his troops have surrounded Kisangani, Zaire's fifth-largest city.
