KABUL (Reuter) - Hundreds of Afghan families streamed out of battered western Kabul yesterday as the shelling that had rocked the city for two days moved further afield. Heavy artillery fire was also reported south of the capital.
The number killed since fighting flared on Saturday is unknown - 12 died in hospital but estimates of the number buried without being taken to hospital ran into scores.
