Thieves stole relics of Padre Pio Forgione, the mystical Italian monk whose bleeding stigmata fascinated the faithful and sceptical alike, Reuter reports from Pietrelcina.

A chalice, a habit and blood-drenched pieces of cloth belonging to Pio were found missing from the Capuchin monastery in Pietrelcina, near Naples.
