Moscow (AFP) - Russia expressed regret for the deaths of two fisherman on board boats that violated Moscow's territorial waters, but they warned against any future violations.
'Our coastguards will take all necessary measures to protect these territorial waters,' a foreign ministry spokesman said.
The two fishermen were killed in the latest clash off the coast of the disputed Russian-ruled Kurile Islands.
Russia said the two dead fishermen were Chinese. But South Korean officials said they were probably Taiwanese.
