Rwanda's tribal warfare claims 37
Tribal slaughter between the majority Hutu and minority Tutsi drove people from the streets of Rwanda's capital, leaving medical workers to collect the dead bodies, Reuter reports from Kigali. A ceremony to swear in a new government was called off after several political parties staged a boycott, and former rebel leaders met to try to stop a slide back into civil war. At least 37 bodies have been recovered.
