The ANC president, Nelson Mandela, and the leader of the Inkatha Freedom Party, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, leaders of warring black political factions in South Africa, agreed yesterday to their first one-on-one meeting in more than two years, Reuter reports from Cape Town. The meeting was brokered by the Nobel Peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who will chair the encounter, a spokesman said.
