A dozen men with AK-47 rifles killed six men believed to have been Inkatha supporters early yesterday, John Carlin reports from Johannesburg.

They halted a minibus taxi on a highway and asked the passengers whether they were Inkatha or ANC supporters. The Inkatha supporters were marched to a field and shot: six died and one was seriously wounded.
