South Africa's government, the ANC and the right-wing Freedom Alliance, racing to meet a mid-week deadline for a constitutional settlement, agreed yesterday to their first three-way talks, Reuter reports from Cape Town. The chief government negotiator, Roelf Meyer, said five nominees from each group would meet this morning.
