CAIRO - Egypt's Education Minister, Hussein Kamel Bahaeddin, has backed down in a clash with Islamists over the right of girls to wear Muslim headscarves to school. Newspapers reported he had withdrawn a decree that would have banned schoolgirls from wearing the hijab unless their parents sent the school a letter of approval. Reuter
