The first Palestinian to testify at the Hebron massacre inquiry said several settlers and soldiers opened fire in the mosque, AFP reports from Jerusalem. 'I saw a uniformed settler enter,' Youssri Mahmud al-Jamal said. 'He put on ear-protectors and then fired. Twenty seconds later I heard shots coming from another spot, but I don't know who was firing.' The Israeli army has said a settler, Baruch Goldstein, acted alone, and that soldiers only fired in the air.
