Sex and the Singaporeans

SINGAPORE (AFP) - A large majority of Singaporeans are conservative, worry about liberal values creeping into society and reject sexual permissiveness, a government-commissioned study indicated.

The study, which polled 1,102 people above the age of 17, showed that 90 per cent disapproved of extra-marital sex, mainly for religious reasons, while around 67 per cent thought it was wrong for a couple to live together and have sex before marriage.
