Danny Ferguson, a US State trooper named in a sexual harassment suit against President Bill Clinton, said he never told the plaintiff Mr Clinton wanted to meet her in a hotel room, Reuter reports from Little Rock.

Mr Ferguson admitted making small talk with Paula Jones, but denied directing her to the then Arkansas governor's room. At one point Mrs Jones 'asked if the governor had a girlfriend, and (Danny Ferguson) answered negatively, and she responded she would be the governor's girlfriend.'
