Singer killed

Sixties singing star Baron Frederik van Pallandt, part of the Nina and Frederick duo, has been killed in the Philippines, the Dutch embassy in London confirmed, PA reports. The 60-year-old Dutch aristocrat, whose hits included 'Little Donkey' and 'Mary's Boy Child', was shot while shopping with his girlfriend on Sunday. He had lived in the Philippines for some years. No one has been arrested.
