AN ITALIAN doctor claims to have discovered the secret of the Mona Lisa's enigmatic smile - a compulsive grinding of teeth. Dr Filippo Surano says the woman in Leonardo da Vinci's portrait suffered from bruxism, an unconscious habit of grinding the teeth.
