Three Somalis were killed in a firefight between gunmen and US Marines escorting a convoy of American diplomatic cars in Mogadishu, Reuter reports from Mogadishu. Supporters of warlord Mohamed Farah Aideed claimed eight Somalis were killed in the clash, which lasted a few minutes, but there was no independent confirmation of this figure.
