Spain's Socialist government is to liberalise abortion rules under a new law proposed yesterday, Reuter reports from Madrid. Abortion after 12 weeks of pregnancy will remain illegal but for the first time in Spain, women will be able to choose abortion when pregnancy presents 'a serious personal, family or social conflict'.
