A French parliamentary committee recommended lifting the parliamentary immunity of soccer boss-turned-politician Bernard Tapie to enable him to be investigated for suspected fraud and tax evasion, Reuter reports from Paris. The National Assembly's immunity committee voted unanimously to recommend the lifting of Mr Tapie's immunity. He has indicated he may resign before Tuesday, when the committee's report to the House will be made.
