Tbilisi police chief fired
The Tbilisi police chief, General David Zeikidze, has been sacked, the Interior Ministry said yesterday, a day after hundreds of his armed men stormed the Georgian parliament to protest against the nomination of a new interior minister whom they said was unfit for the job, AFP reports from Tbilisi.
