The former Conservative chairman, Lord Tebbit, attacked the Maastricht treaty at a meeting in the Danish parliament saying: 'Three weapons are being used by the 'yes' campaigners: fear, ignorance and misstatements of facts,' Reuter reports from Copenhagen.
Danish backing for the treaty has recovered ahead of the second referendum next Tuesday, according to a Gallup survey suggesting that 49 per cent would vote 'yes', 32 per cent 'no' with 19 per cent undecided or planning not to vote.
