The US Defense Secretary, Les Aspin, ordered an investigation on whether a 1984 'Star Wars' test was faked to mislead Moscow and Congress, but the former defense secretary, Caspar Weinberger, denied the allegation, Reuter reports from Washington.

'Any allegation that the Congress has been misled raises serious questions,' Mr Aspin said in ordering the investigation.
