Washington - Richard Holbrooke, the hard-driving American diplomat who helped to negotiate peace in Bosnia, told Congress that he would leave his post early next year. A former Wall Street financier, he is expected to return to private industry. State Department officials said he would be succeeded by John Kornblum, a career diplomat.
