Troop pull-back

Left-wing gunmen holding Nicaragua's vice-president and other conservative politicians hostage in the capital, Managua, freed two more of their prisoners yesterday, Reuter reports from Quilali. The release came as Cardinal Miguel Obando y Bravo arrived near Quilali in northern Nicaragua to secure the release of other hostages held by right-wing Contras.
