Uffizi reopens
Twenty-five days after a car- bomb damaged the building and destroyed several paintings, the Uffizi museum was yesterday partly reopened to the public, writes Patricia Clough in Rome.
The museum was reopened much faster than originally feared thanks to a concerted effort by staff and contractors who had worked virtually round the clock.
