The Ugandan government has extended the deadline by which non-citizen Asians expelled from Uganda by the former dictator Idi Amin in 1972 must reclaim properties they left behind, AFP reports from Kampala. In 1972, Mr Amin expelled about 80,000 Asians, who at the time formed the country's economic backbone.
