Australia's governing Labor Party dumped the Union Flag from its party logo, echoing the pro-republican view of its leader, the Prime Minister, Paul Keating, Reuter reports from Canberra. A new logo incorporating the Australian flag's southern cross and blue background but removing its Union Jack has been approved.
