The World Food Programme said Angola's Unita rebels had banned all relief flights to areas they control, denying food to more than 1 million people threatened with starvation, Reuter reports from Harare.
'Unita simply refused to give clearance to relief flights to areas they control and the WFP stopped all flights yesterday,' a spokeswoman said.
