LUANDA (AFP) - Angola's main opposition movement, Unita, named four members to join the new government, a decision welcomed by the Prime Minister, Marcolino Moco, as a positive step. Unita did not say when they would take up their posts.
Mr Moco called for vigilance, in acknowledgement of the way Unita has swung between war and peace since losing a general election in September to the Angolan People's Liberation Movement (MPLA).
Victorino Hossi is to take up the culture portfolio, the only full ministerial post on offer. General Demosthene Amos Chilingutila becomes deputydefence minister. The deputy minister posts at urban planning and social affairs will be taken by Jose Pedro Cachiundo and Carlos Veiga Morgado.
