In Mogadishu, Sgt Ken Haugen of the US Marines points a weapon at a youth after seizing it from him near the Somali capital yesterday. Nigerian troops flying the UN flag have taken over key areas of the city as the withdrawal of US troops gathers momentum. Some 24,000 US troops have begun returning home in the past few weeks.
