Amnesty International said it had 'substantial cause for concern' that some Swiss police officers were using unwarranted violence against people in custody, AP reports from Berne. Amnesty said it had received consistent reports from a variety of sources over several years alleging that some policemen slapped, kicked and punched detainees, especially foreigners.
