Jackson, Mississippi (AP) - A white supremacist accused of assassinating the civil rights leader Medgar Evers in 1963 lost a court fight to have the murder charge dropped.
Byron De La Beckwith's argument that he should not face trial because his health and memory were deteriorating, was rejected by a court here.
Mr De La Beckwith has been tried twice for murder but the juries could not reach a verdict.
