Yemen 'ceasefire'

The Yemeni government said it was willing to co- operate with and to help put into effect a UN resolution calling for a ceasefire in the war between northern and southern forces, Reuter reports from Sanaa. An official statement said: 'The government . . . affirms it is prepared to deal with the resolution in a positive spirit and in a way that leads to all parties concerned implementing it in an integral manner.'
