Troops surrounded the homes of Zaire's reformist Prime Minister, Etienne Tshisekedi, and his ministers yesterday after a presidential deadline expired for them to hand in state property, Reuter reports from Kinshasa.
Soldiers were posted at Mr Tshisekedi's suburban house and the homes of his opposition cabinet, which sits in direct challenge to a new government backed by President Mobutu Sese Seko.
