Zaire moves to close camp
Goma - Zaire was to deploy troops around the Rwandan refugee camp of Kibumba at dawn today, the start of an operation to close it and send refugees home, a senior UN refugee agency official said.
The sprawling camp is home to 190,000 Rwandans who fled after last year's genocide, for which many among them have been blamed. The troops are expected to end all commercial activities in the camp and seize any goods used for them, excluding essential food, water and medicines. Reuter
