Zuckerman dies

LORD ZUCKERMAN, the former chief scientific adviser to the Government and one of Britain's greatest scientist-administrators, died yesterday in London of a heart attack aged 88. He dominated science and its application in government from the 1930s.

Lord Zuckerman was also involved in the arts, and was closely associated with London Zoo for more than half a century.
