Gardening / Cuttings: In the beginning . . .
THE Oxford College of Garden Design is offering a four-week, test-the-water course this summer on design theory, surveying and graphics: 'an ideal way to get a strong grounding in all aspects of garden design, and to discover if one is suited to the job,' says Duncan Heather, the college principal. The course, at Wolfson College from 19 July to 12 August, costs pounds 1,440 (plus VAT and accommodation). Further details from the college at: 34 Kings Road, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire RG9 2DG (0491 411161).
