Meet Mr Chalk

The National Trust has organised a programme of "Meet the Gardener" events. On 8 June (7pm) there will be a walk round the gardens of Kingston Lacy, near Wimborne in Dorset, with head gardener Nigel Chalk. Admission pounds 3. Supper afterwards, if you want, at the Red Lion, Sturminster Marshall. Call 01202 883402. On the same day at Anglesey Abbey, Lode, Cambridgeshire, Richard Ayres shows how to produce a fine lawn.
